Rumble in the Jungle

First grade students listened to Rumble in the Jungle by Giles Andreae and created these jungle animals. Students were able to choose a patterned animal print paper. They cut the paper into an oval for the animal's belly and drew the rest of the animal. Students used crayons color in the animal to match the paper.







African Mask Amulet

Second grade students learned clay techniques to create these African Mask Amulets.

Tessellations with Analogous Colors

Fifth grade students created these tessellating shapes using an index card and colored the shapes in with an analogous color scheme.

First grade students sewed together paper pockets and created "wockets" using a collage technique.

Snowmen at Night

Kindergarten students listened to the story Snowmen at Night and created these snowmen complete with "magic snow" in the background made from an oil resist.



Aboriginal Art from Australia

Third grade students used Aboriginal symbols to create these works of art.



Still Life Painting

Fourth grade students drew these baskets of fruit from observation and completed them with tempera paint.
