Pop Art Portraits
Fifth grade students had their photo taken with a digital camera, printed and enlarged on a black and white photo copier. Students used tracing paper to trace the major shapes of their face; head shape, hair, eyes, etc. Students flipped the tracing paper over onto white paper and re-drew their portrait by re-tracing so the graphite transferred onto the white paper. Students outlined w black marker and colored in with funky colors a la Andy Warnol.
