Tar Beach

Kindergarten students listened to the story Tar Beach by Faith Ringgold and created an image from the story.





African Masks

Fourth grade students viewed many images of African masks. Students concentrated on showing symmetry and exaggerated features. Students drew these masks, and finished with watercolor.







The Snowy Day

First grade students listened to the story The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and students created their own version of the story.



Chinese New Year Dragons

Third grade students created dragons for the Chinese New Year.



Picasso's Hands with Bouquet

Kindergarten students viewed Picasso's Hands with Bouquet and created their own version using either paint or a collage technique.



Where the Wild Things Are

First grade students listened to Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and created their own wild thing.
